Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts at the University of Santo Tomas, learned and gained certificates in additional creative courses such as Multimedia Design, Digital Illustration and Character Design.
My works are heavily inspired by the lighting and minimalistic techniques of Conrad Roset and Ali Cavanaugh, and the illustrative styles and compositions of Hieu Nguyen and May Ann Licudine.
Why watercolor: It captures emotion very well in the sense that, as the artist who uses the medium, I find myself learning to deal with it the same way one would with emotions - with a level of control and release.
The female body is a personal representation. Sexual abuse history has made me look at it not just as a means to express what is internal but also to portray history and to speak where words cannot form.
The muse is the physical, visual voice of the internal experience of emotions; suffering, transformation, reflection, embodiment.
The galactic hair represents the process, the thinking, the hoping. It is the possibility and openness to the divine.
The Sing Series is a set of artworks done in 2020, amidst the pandemic, at the culmination of finding my own style and learning the language of my voice as an artist.
Each artwork features lyrics to a song that explore a theme surrounding grief, love, heartbreak, transformation, letting go and/ or hope. Their titles are also influenced by these.
These are made with watercolor on A3 drawing paper and metallic pens.

The Release Series is a set of small artworks made in 2023, during the first year of my relocation to the UAE and at a time of revisiting major life choices.
The artworks were made to capture my internal experience of navigating the process of acceptance. Each piece highlights internal conflict—the feeling of losing my own voice, of becoming trapped by responsibility, overcome by regret: The cost of self-abandonment for the sake of love and harmony.
These are made with watercolor on 5"x7" artist watercolor paper 300gsm & metallic pens.

Hold Series is a set of small illustrations made in 2023, during the first year of my relocation to the UAE and at a time of revisiting major life choices.
The artworks represent the later parts of the process of acceptance. The illustrations use the hand as the subject as a representation of a person's own responsibility and influence in the outcome of their experiences. Each piece also features lyrics of various songs that talk about moving on, acceptance and letting go.
These are made with watercolor on A6 sketchbook paper.
